Terms

Effective October 20, 2026

These terms cover the syncport command-line client, the relay at api.syncport.live and the dashboard at syncport.live. By signing in or using the relay you agree to them.

Your account and devices

You sign in with a Google account and approve each device yourself. You are responsible for the devices you approve and for keeping them secure. Remove a device on the dashboard as soon as you lose control of it.

Your content

Your work stays yours. Handoffs are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them, and we use the routing metadata described in the privacy page only to run the service. Only hand off content you have the right to copy between your devices.

Fair use

The relay keeps handoffs for 14 days, up to the newest 10 per project, within a storage quota per account that the dashboard shows. Do not use the service to break the law, to store content unrelated to moving your own work, to attempt unauthorized access or to interfere with the service or other users. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts to protect the service.

Availability

We work to keep the relay available, but it is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Handoffs can expire or be lost. syncport saves a Git backup before it changes a workspace, but keep your own backups of anything important.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost work or lost profits arising from the use of syncport.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end the service or an account with reasonable notice, except where immediate action is needed to protect the service or its users.

We will post changes here with a new effective date. Questions: peerproblem@gmail.com.
